8 Sherman St Portland Maine - PortlandI can appreciate that picking up the recycles as an awful job especially in the snow storm where these guys are trying to get done before the snow gets really bad but that's not an excuse for doing a bad job and leaving trash on the street. I know this has been a regular issue and the city and trucks have been doing a better job lately, but today was especially bad. I can't help but wonder if the crew didn't care becasue these expected their poor job would be hidden by the snow.

Thanks 4 Pre-Treating Archived1600 Congress St Portland ME - PortlandThanks. As a very-early morning commuter I appreciate you sending out the trucks to pre-treat the major roads. It really makes the roads safer in the beginning hours of the storm. Keep up the good work!

Trash on private property Archived214 High Street Portland, Maine - PortlandThis property has bag trash stored all around it it's been there through at least two trash pickup days animals are starting to get into it and the pile is growing there's also dog waste in bags piled about and other food waste like egg shells thrown on the ground. This building is a constant problem and while they usually clean it up once a complaint has been made the piles of trash and waste just reappear in a short time.

Street Plowing not done well Archived116 Forest Avenue Portland, Maine - PortlandI've noticed in a lot of areas of Portland the plow drivers don't get their wing blade all the way to the curb resulting in a narrowing Street as the snow bank sits on the street and not on the curb. This section of Forest Ave in the attached photo illustrates the problem well but it seems to be an issue all over the city and especially on Forest Ave inbound from woodfords corner where the road is already narrow. In the attached photo this whole line of cars is in violation by parking too far from the curb. Not that I think they deserve a ticket I would just like to see the plow drivers doing a better job of getting the banks all the way back and off the street.

Street Signs confusing. Archived2 Free Street Portland, Maine - PortlandSee picture. It seems to me there's a whole bunch of Errors like this on various parking signs that have been installed in recent months. In totality I understand that you can park here except for overnight Tuesday Wednesday but the no parking anytime generally means you can't park there ever never not at all

Depression in road Archived195 Fore River Pkwy Portland, Maine - PortlandAt the railroad overpass there is a serious depression on both directions of travel just at the transition to the bridge. It's annoying and disturbing in a car but on my motorcycle it nearly bucked me off the other day. I think this has been a habitual problem but it needs to be filled in again.
