It's not an error. The arrow indicates no parking to the left of the post. To the right is pay and display.

The sign in the top right is the one that I was talking about. It says "no parking any time" and then lists times.

Unfortunate word choice

This is the first sign I've seen like that and I have to agree with the original poster. "No Parking Any Time" followed in a smaller font by "11:30pm Tuesday - 7am Wednesday" is very bizarre and misleading syntax. It seems to me the "Any Time" should be removed and the Tues-Weds font be made larger.

Wow... that is confusing... but even more conflicted is this:
There's a light pole at the corner of Congress & Walker Streets (in front of the Walker Terrace Building), which has a Metro Bus Stop sign on it. Right below the bus stop sign, on that same pole, is a City Of Portland sign that states:
"No Stopping Or Standing"

The arrow on the "No Parking Anytime" sign indicated no parking on that side of the sign post...

I reported one of these down near Tommy's Park the other day. Apparently there was another near there too. I think they replaced the signs that spelled Tuesday incorrectly.
