Description
The photo above is taken from west Presumpscot looking towards Washington. The entrance to this street needs to have no parking signs from the intersection, to the driveways, or there needs to be parking enforcement. The areas closest to the intersection are persistently used for parking which makes the street wide enough for only single vehicle traffic. If you're sitting at the light, with parking on either side, the street is clogged, turning traffic cannot enter, and Washington Ave turns into a dangerous CF. Thanks !

Just an update here.
This is a scenario I hadn’t thought of, and I caught it right as it was happening. Not only is this a high vehicle traffic intersection, many new families and their children have moved into the new development next door to me. Many of these kids don’t pay attention/don’t know traffic rules/considerations/courtesies. There being no sidewalk on the exiting side of the street forces students walking to Presumpscot to walk in the road, or have to cross traffic twice. Here, for example, is a woman in her…scooter…motorized chair, I’ll go with that. I was going to Eldridge lumber on some errands, and she was driving (riding?) down the middle of the street. Serendipitously, a car tried to pull in which created the exact issue I was talking about, just in a different, and I think we can all agree, more dangerous scenario. On my way back I just happened to see her making the turn back onto west presumscott. I have included photos. I know y’all are busy, understaffed, etc… but hopefully my persistence on the subject will bear fruit.
Thank you again for your time, and the consideration I know y’all put into your work everyday. We’re all safer because of you. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
(First photo me crossing Washington heading towards Eldridge; second photo, me returning from Eldrige. Less important: I had intended to go straight. But I know my neighborhood, and can go around. Someone with less awareness of the area would not have made the same consideration)
Thank you. Again. I really mean it.
